• Transportation

Welcome to Chattooga County Schools Transportation department. Our goal is to provide safe and efficient transportation for our students, including students that have needs requiring special transportation.

It is the philosophy of Chattooga County School District that all students can behave appropriately and safely while riding a school bus. Students should be at their bus stop five minutes before the bus arrives, waiting in a safe place clear of traffic. For other school bus rules please see the Chattooga County Student/Parent Handbook.

Our drivers undergo training annually and are required to pass an annual physical exam, they also submit to random drug & alcohol testing. Our bus fleet of 42 buses log more than 400,000 miles annually. All buses are well maintained by our shop mechanics and receive both routine and annual maintenance.

For route information and bus stop times, please call the Bus Garage at 706-857-3258

We are located at 203 Penn St., Summerville, and our operation hours are 6:30 AM until 4:30 P M

School closings and/or transportation cancellations due to bad weather will be posted on the district web site, announced on local radio stations AM 1180, FM 95.7, and Chattanooga TV stations.
