  • Dear Chattooga County Families,

As a reminder, beginning Monday, September 14th students will attend school in-person Tuesday-Friday.  Monday will be a distance learning day.  Your child’s teacher will send instructions home each Friday about what work needs to be completed on Monday before returning to school on Tuesday.

The decision to transition to a hybrid instructional model was approved at the August 2020 board meeting.  Monday's will be used to provide teachers with additional time to connect with virtual learners and receive additional professional learning and preparation time to provide instruction to a split-classroom.  In addition, the reduced in-person day limits contact and allows for another day for deep cleaning.

Thank you all for your commitment to our students and their safety.

    With appreciation,

    Jared Hosmer

  • Dear Chattooga County Families,

First, let me thank each of you for your patience and understanding as we have re-opened schools for the 2020-2021 school year amid a global pandemic. The beginning of the school year adjustments has been new for all of us, but together we are making it work.

Due to the adjusted start dates for virtual learning, Chattooga County Schools will not be issuing a 4-1/2 week progress report for the first 9-week grading term. However, students will be issued a 9-week report card at the end of the grading period. If you would like information about the progress your child is making, please contact his/her teacher through email at the individual schools or login to parent portal located on the  Chattooga County Schools website.

If you do not have a parent portal account, you can request one by visiting the Chattooga County Schools webs it e and locating the parent portal link at the bottom of the page.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and school system during these unprecedented times.
