Chattooga High Girls Basketball Written by Libby Veatch
On January 17th, the Chattooga High School girl's basketball team faced Trion High School at Trion. The Lady Indians played an outstanding game against the Lady Bulldogs. The game went back and forth the majority of the time. Makiya Parrish had the best game of her career this season against the Bulldogs. The guards and post worked great together to score points for Chattooga. Going into halftime, Chattooga was up by 2. In the third, The score rotated back and forth by 2 points. Makiya fouled out in the fourth quarter, leaving the Indians with all underclassmen. In the last couple minutes of the game, Trion scored to get ahead of the Lady Indians by 1 point. #3 on Trion fouled Addyson with one minute left in the game. Addyson Daniel makes both of her free throws to win the game for Chattooga. Trion’s coach got a technical foul and Chattooga got to shoot free throws again. Addie Veatch shot the free throws and made one. Makiya Parrish scored a career-high, scoring 33 points. She also had 6 steals and 4 rebounds. Addyson Daniel had 11 points and 8 rebounds. Addie Veatch had 10 points and three rebounds. Tori Ward had 3 points and amazing defense. Talia Sanders had the team high on rebounds with 12. She also had 3 points. The Lady Indians won the game by 2 points. The final score of the game was 60-58. GO LADY INDIANS!!!!!!

Chattooga Indians Victorious In Last Week’s Games Written by Addyson Daniel
Chattooga boys basketball had some eventful games last week. On Tuesday, they faced Dalton Academy, Friday Armuchee paid a visit to CHS, and Saturday, the boys traveled to Rome High School to play the Wolves. While playing Dalton Academy, the Indians got off to a rough start but could pull through and kick it up a notch once they began to press. Although Dalton only had five players, they never gave up. Dalton Academy was not as fundamentally sound as Chattooga, which allowed the Indians to get most of their points off transition, defensive rebounds, and fast breaks. ....
